Welcome to Sutton & Cheam Branch

The Sutton and Cheam Cats Protection branch was formed in 1982 and since then we have rescued stray, unwanted and injured cats and homed and neutered thousands of them in the London Borough of Sutton.  We currently have four fosterers but are always interested in attracting more... fosterers –if you don’t have space for an outside pen in your garden, a spare room could provide an essential refuge for a cat in need!  Give us a call on 07795 957568 if you think this is for you.

Many of our cats are re-homed on a ‘direct from owner's home' basis which means there is less stress for the cat involved and that we can re-home a greater number of them. We have all our cats health checked, vaccinated, micro chipped and those cats 4 months who are not neutered are neutered while in our care before homing.  We also give 4 weeks free Pet Plan insurance with all adoptions. All new prospective owners receive a visit from our homing officers.

Our vision is to ensure that every cat is given the chance of a life where it will be treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs.  We also seek to alleviate the problems of unwanted cats, by offering information and advice about responsible cat ownership and promoting the benefits of neutering.

We are all volunteers giving up our spare time to cope with the numerous cat problems in this area.  As we are self-supporting, much time is spent organising fund raising events in order to meet our ever increasing costs.  Without the generosity of regular donations from our supporters and our fund-raising activities we would not be able to help so many needy cats and kittens in the Sutton, Cheam and Wallington areas.
